What this card is
This card contains new presets particularly aimed at the guitarist, along with material of interest to vocalists and MIDI fiends, as well as a number of useful studio presets. In short, something for almost everybody (sorry drummers, but you did well in the DSP4000.) Most of these presets were written by Michael James and Keith Wechsler from sunny California.
Michael James is an experienced Producer/Mixer who has worked with L7, Hole, Reverend Horton Heat and many others, and has also worked as a Recording Engineer on albums by Jane's Addiction, George Clinton and Mazzy Star, to name but a few.
Keith Wechsler is an experienced Engineer and Mixer, who has worked with, among others, Brian Wilson, the Beach Boys and Emerson, Lake and Palmer, with whom he is the FOH Mixer at the time of writing.

Acoustic Guitar These effects are like pedalboards for the acoustic guitar. Most feature rotary knob controls for ease of use.
Bass These effects are optimized for bass guitar and almost all are crossfadable. We think of these as the ultimate possible versions of the most common bass effects, but in spite of this they are extremely easy to use, many of them having rotary knob controls.
Pedalboards Most of these pedal board are made up from the "Stomp Box" effects that follow. Pedal boards can be of two types, a series pedal board has the output of each effect connected to the input of the next, meaning that the effects are superimposed upon each other. A parallel pedal board on the other hand, has the outputs of each effect mixed together - as a result the effects mingle rather than fight each other. Of course, combinations of the two are possible.
ADT These Automatic Double Tracking effects simulate the familiar tape-based technique.
AMS-like Here is a range of effects based on a simulation of the classic DMX-1580 delay with pitch shift. This machine was made by what is now AMS-Neve Plc in Burnley, England.
Synthesizer The DSP-4000 behaves like a MiniMoog and more. Now, where did I leave all those patch leads for the III-C ?
Workbench When all else fails ... a selection of (in most cases) useful recording Tools & Toys.
MJKW Specialties Stuff we like, with a personal touch.
MJ Specialties Emphasis on trippy guitar textures.
KW Specialties Emphasis on having fun
M>M Stomp Boxes These crossfadable presets are basic building blocks for making pedalboards - each one represents a "stomp box" and are the best versions we have yet written of the most common guitar effects. They are extremely easy to use as most of them have rotary knob controls. Earlier versions of some of these effects may be found in the GTR4000.
M>S Stomp Boxes These (mostly) crossfadable presets are basic building blocks for making pedalboards - each one represents a "stomp box" and are the best versions we have yet written of the most common guitar effects. They are extremely easy to use as most of them have rotary knob controls. This group are mono in, stereo out.

S>S Stomp Boxes These (mostly) crossfadable presets are basic building blocks for making pedalboards - each one represents a "stomp box" and are the best versions we have yet written of the most common guitar effects. They are extremely easy to use as most of them have rotary knob controls. This group are stereo in, stereo out.
Mono Ext Stomp These stereo effects are set up for external control by MOD 1 and/or MOD 2 MIDI channels.
Stereo Ext Stomp These stereo effects are set up for external control by MOD 1 and/or MOD 2 MIDI channels.
Studio Stomp These are studio versions of many of the stomp effects, with mute switches and wet/dry controls removed. They feature simple rfader controls and are designed to be used in mixing board situations. In addition, you will find useful "monitor" pages for precise, numeric documentation of knob and/or fader settings by a second engineer when documenting recording sessions.

Bonus Presets These are an assortment of useful or improved presets thrown in as a gesture of thanks from the people at Eventide. For a guitarist, the "Universal Tuner" may be worth the price of this card on its own while keyboard players may enjoy "Midi Harmony".
